The Nature of The occupation
I am in the profession of making money by assisting others to achieve winning results with their own home-based professionals.
By “home-based business” I mean network marketing or internet marketing type things. To my way of thinking success in business requires investment.
There Are Basically Two Types of Money-Making Programs
1. Those that promise wealth with little or no investment.
On the internet there are a lot of people merchandising you on the latest way to earn money with a very limited or no investment. I understand the appeal, but I have never spoken with anybody who made much money doing these programs. Many are simply recycling of the principles taught in Joe Karbo’s “Lazy Man’s Way To Riches” which you can read about HERE
2. Those that deliver substantial profits to those who invest the money to start a genuine business and the time to be taught how to market it. Many of these are “big-ticket” programs.
The Key To Choosing A Big-Ticket Program
Of the second type there are many variations, compensation plans, etc… The primary thing to look at, for me,
is “does this program have a proprietary product?”
IF the program in question is colossal collection of software and ebooks, the product is not proprietary . There are many programs out there selling oudated info-products at inflated prices. The truth is that the same products are ALWAYS available elsewhere for a tiny fraction of the price you will invest to join these programs.
I am not saying there isn’t money to be made by promoting devalued products at inflated prices, merely that I don’t do it and I don’t recommend doing it. While the difference between a money-game and a legitimate income program is always about whether there is a legitimate product being sold – I recommend having some discernment. Most of the products being sold today in $997.oo packages are available for less than earn.oo.
In the case of the $997 programs, the program origninator makes no money on product sales. He earns his money by charging $40-60.oo per month for an affiliate site, training, back-office, and usually a flash-movie presentation. Its still an acceptable overhead expense for a real business… but its there.
The Truth About Advertising Income Programs
The truth about marketing ANY income-generating program online is that it requires exactly the same measure of effort to promote a program where you make earn $1.oo as one where you make $1000.oo per paid signup.
And here’s the rub…
Without investment, there is seldom commitment.
Building a business of any kind requires an prodigious level of commitment. It requires determination and self-development to succeed. It is essential to become a student of marketing. In fact this is where many people are disappointed in their results.
-It is one thing to think you can make a bucketload of dollars with your program. It is quite another to be passionate enough about succeeding that you take a real interest in studying the industry you have joined. Success in marketing ANY business requires consistent attention to developing and one’s marketing skills.
Without Marketing Skills You Will Earn No Money
It does not matter what business you are in. Studying marketing is essential. You can benefit enormously by reading the classic texts on Direct Response Advertising.
With regards to the internet, the information is often mind-boggling for the newcomer. Most people who attempt internet marketing and quit do so, in my opinion, because of one thing…
They have not comprehended what internet marketing Truly IS!
